THE PLACE

Amelia Island is part of the Sea Islands chain of barrier islands, on the U.S. state of Florida’s Atlantic coast. It has a history of Spanish, French, British and American rule. Today it’s a popular holiday destination known for its luxury resorts, golf courses and numerous sandy beaches. Main Beach Park has sand dunes, a boardwalk and public sports and recreation facilities.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. d/b/a The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, located in Amelia Island, Florida, seeks nine (9) full-time, temporary Laundry Attendants who will be responsible for operating or tending washing or dry-cleaning machines to wash or dry-clean industrial or household articles, such as cloth garments, suede, leather, furs, blankets, draperies, linens, rugs, and carpets. Includes spotters and dyers of these articles.

Three (3) months of experience at a high-end hotel, resort, or private club required.

Applicant must complete pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Travel is not required.

On-the-job training is provided.

 

DUTIES

Laundry Attendants will be responsible for operating or tending washing or dry-cleaning machines to wash or dry-clean industrial or household articles, such as cloth garments, suede, leather, furs, blankets, draperies, linens, rugs, and carpets. Includes spotters and dyers of these articles.

 

ADDITIONAL INFO

The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.

The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.

H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by government (excluding passport fees).

All deductions from paycheck required by law will be made.
